apparently word is going around in the sims community that the original 2 games are getting rereleased? which is wild.
some people apparently want sims 3 to be rereleased even though ea still supports it somewhat (it recently had an update to fix the game on new intel processors). on the other hand sims 2 hasnt been sold by ea in like 10 years and sims 1 far longer than that.
though given ea this might most likely be some kind of nostalgia-centric stuff pack (or kits as theyre called now?) for the sims 4.
my only concern is if ea’s actually rereleasing 1 and 2, they would probably go around handing out dmcas to any website that offers free abandonware downloads for those games. then again, they havent taken down any torrents of sims 3 in a long time even though they still sell it on steam and whatever origin is called now.
im guessing the sims 2 rerelease is going to be the ultimate collection, while sims 1 might be some kind of updated version of complete collection that fixes saving-related issues that popped upback in the windows vista days. maybe, idk.
