what the fuck is happening to 3ds prices???
December 31 2025, 02:26:07 AMas my black nintendo 3ds seemingly decided to die after 13 years, and my two other 3dses have other issues, i have decided to finally buy a new 3ds (the new 3ds, non-xl)... but now they're all expensive???
no, really. the japanese ones are all around $200-$400 while the north american ones are even more than that (this is only counting the new 3ds xl, the new 3ds barely sold in north america). while yes, importing one from japan is less expensive. werent they less expensive not even a year prior?
what i believe is happening to the 3ds is also what has been happening to old ipods/iphones for quite some time. it has become a trend to own old devices for "the nostalgia". but the problem is this drives up the prices because now there's demand. and it's all because of fuckass tiktok "influencers". jeez.
