i briefly used guilded in 2022 when my discord got temporarily banned, and i abandoned it right after my discord account got restored. and now it turns out theyre shutting it all down
im 99% sure they were planning this as early as december 2024, when roblox decided to partner with discord for a fuckass quest and account integration. this wasnt even half a year after the update that basically killed guilded by forcing everyone to have a roblox account.
i personally believe that they originally intended to redo roblox's chatting system by having it be based on guilded, and that they were close but had to cancel this when the controversy regarding child safety got a lot worse.
also this might get outdated but pretty odd that the guilded site has not been updated to mention about the shut down. im pretty sure they laid off the entire team after that one spring 2025 update and dont wanna touch it because its almost like Nobody uses this shit anyways LOL
